Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, October 2010 - March 2011

Exhibition developer and curator, major exhibit on music in the Ozarks. The innovated aspect of this project is the public voted on what artifacts would be used in the exhibition. The exhibit also included an audio tour which I produced. 


Squeaky Clean

Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, February 2009 - January 2010

Exhibit assistant, major exhibit (history of hygiene in the Ozarks).  Duties included pulling artifacts for consideration, designing and installing a case, designing and installing photo layouts, re-storing artifacts not used, converting oral history interviews from cassette tape to digital, editing the audio into a ten-stop tour, and installing the audio on wands.


First Things First

Exhibit assistant, major exhibit (history of the museum for its 40th anniversary).  Duties included retrieving artifacts from storage, assisting with layout design, building exhibit mounts, implementing the installation of artifacts, closing the exhibit, and re-storing artifacts.


Ozark Voices

Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, June 2008 - January 2009

Exhibit assistant, major exhibit (audio exhibit featuring local interviews recorded by StoryCorps).  Duties included editing interviews into a thirteen-stop tour, retrieving artifacts from storage, re-moving artifacts when the exhibit had to be removed for gallery repairs and re-installing the exhibit when repairs were finished, as well as closing the exhibit, re-storing artifacts and packing artifacts to be returned that were on loan.


Tech-Knowledge-Gee!

Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, November 2007 - June 2008

Exhibit assistant, major exhibit (history of communication devices from the telegraph to the computer).  Duties included procuring artifact loans, assisting with layout design, writing artifact labels, implementing the installation of artifacts, producing three audio interactives, and producing a video podcast about the making of this exhibit, as well as returning loan items and closing the exhibit.


Open Season: Hunting in the Ozarks

Shiloh Museum of Ozark History, August 2007 - January 2008

Exhibit assistant, two-case exhibit.  Duties included retrieving artifacts from storage and delivering them to the exhibit and producing a supplemental podcast of excerpts of hunting stories from our oral history collection.

Exhibit assistant, major exhibit.   Duties included preparing exhibit mounts, painting, and assisting with layout, installation and closing of the exhibit.

Co-curator, major exhibit (history of the International Order of Odd Fellows in Northwest Arkansas).  Duties included researching rituals and artifacts, design, layout, reinforcing textiles, refurbishing mannequins, producing a music soundtrack, producing an audio drama, installation and closing of the exhibit.
